California has a really bad flood right now and It has caused a lot of economic losses. The storm hit on December 31, 2022 and it kept  going tell January 25, 2023. A lot of houses were destroyed by the flood and many businesses went out of service too. Several people couldn’t go to work because of their jobs closing, and they could not get out of their houses. The flood damaged a lot of buildings, houses, people and animals.

 Some couldn’t even go to the store to buy food for their families while the flood was happening. It caused California $5-7 billion dollars in economic damage and losses. California is still flooded right now but it’s not as bad as it was before. It’s gotten better and people can actually go to place’s now, but some areas are still bad because of it.
